I live in Kansas City and Ken’s Automotive is in Frederick Maryland and yet they were able to provide me with excellent service at an outstanding value. Now for the backstory. I was looking online at a Corvette in Frederick Maryland. I didn’t want to buy a car with out someone looking at it , That is where I found Ken’s Automotive. I chose Ken’s over other companies due to the outstanding Google reviews that Ken’s had. I knew I mader the right decision when I called and spoke to BJ, I told her what I was trying to accomplish which has to have someone be my eyes and ears in Frederick an to give the car a thorough inspection before I bought it BJ is a car guy who just happens to be a girl. BJ said that they would coordinate with the dealer to bring the car back over to the the shop and begin the evaluation process, A couple of hours in to it, BJ and I spoke and she went over the whole vehicle and provided a detailed report on what was wrong with the car. All for $111.00, You will not find anyone who provides so much service at such a low price Make Ken’s your first choice when looking for an auto service shop You will not be disappointed!!! ”

As a new customer, my experience with Ken’s was amazing! I called them because I needed a pre-purchase inspection in a short time-frame for a used car I was considering for purchase. Even though they were booked, they were able to squeeze me in at 7am the next morning since I was able to drop off the car the night before. Though most of my communication was over the phone, everyone I talked to was extremely friendly and pleasant. Tyler listened to my concerns regarding the purchase and assured me that they’ll take a thorough look at the car and give me a full report. They called me early the next day to inform me that they had completed the inspection and the car was ready. While on the phone, Tyler went over the results and discussed my concern about the brake noise. Instead of trying to convince me to replace the brakes, he assured me that the brakes were fine and the noise would go away once the car was regularly driven. When I picked up the car, I was pleasantly surprised to see a thorough inspection report complete with pictures when I was just expecting a checklist. All in all, I appreciate the friendliness and honesty of the staff, thoroughness of their work, and completion of work in a timely manner. I will definitely be taking this car as well as my other two cars to them for all of my maintenance needs. Great service and highly recommend them based on my experience!

The young ladies that answer the phone are so pleasant and professional. Mark is very thorough in explaining the issues and offering all services needed to fix said issues. Will definitely use Ken’s going forward for our MD fleet services!!

Recent major transmission repair. I was blown away at how responsive Ken’s was to my needs and concerns. I normally do all my own work, but the transmission problem was out of my wheelhouse. I’m careful as to who I allow to work on my vehicles and I’m completely comfortable having Ken’s do work for me in the future. Three thumbs up. Update: 6/8/2020 Follow up visit for transmission work. Everything handled in less than an hour. Didn’t even have time to finish my Big Gulp. Well done. 11/30/2020 update: Once again, Ken’s comes through. Small glitch in the transmission computer. They took it in with less than 24 hours notice the day before Thanksgiving and had it done before dark. Found an awesome pumpkin pie on my driver’s seat. Who does that? Ken’s does. Was traveling from West Virginia and started having problems with my F350, the owner Mark was very gracious as his mechanics were out to lunch so he took my truck for a drive, came back fixed it and had me on the road again in no time. My husband (Ed Hough) has been doing business with Ken’s for years… They have rescued him along the roadside, performed routine service for his trucks and maintained his vehicles well over 100K miles. They even had to rescue me in a parking lot when I left the lights on and ran the battery down. Always reasonable prices, the turn around for service is timely and as others have mentioned, there is always a genuine “What can we do to help you” attitude.

You could not ask for a more professional organization then Ken’s Automotive & Transmissions. They keep you informed throughout the process and usually have your vehicle done prior to the scheduled time. As a bonus when having an oil change and tire rotation your vehicle is fully inspected and you are emailed a report with pictures documenting who the service tech, showing the color of your different fluids and possible service you might need performed in the future. They are truly a 5 Star organization.

The entire experience from start to finish at Ken’s was simply perfect. They completely knocked it out of the park. With the new system they sent me pictures and a complete review of my car and what needed to be done or was recommended and I was able to choose which things I wanted, they even emailed me a detailed estimate to help make the decision. They didn’t pressure me at all and let me make my own decision. When my car was done Mark even drove it down to my job and met me to drop it off. He went one step further and even put money in the parking meter for me. Amazing service. I love being able to support a local business and they have a customer for life!

You’ll be happy your car broke down. It’s hard to find a place where you can blindly trust what they tell you about your car. But at Ken’s you can. I’m the type of guy who goes to Jiffy Lube and second guesses the guys when they tell me my oil needs to be changed. However, when I go to Ken’s, they could literally tell me that my car is possessed by a poltergeist so they need to bring in a Priest to conduct an exorcism and I would not question it. That said, I’d probably sell the car because I don’t really do ghosts, but that’s about me. Look, unless you take pride in being a moron (and if you do then hey, to each his own), just take your car to Ken’s.
